It is not just Hyundai Motor Group. In the case of Ssangyong Motor's Korando, it takes about a month from the new car contract to release. GM Korea's subcompact SUV Trail Blazers can receive vehicles within a month of the contract. The situation is similar for imported cars. Some of BMW's popular 5 series models are known to be able to be released immediately. Audi and Honda can also be shipped immediately for some internal combustion engine models. In the case of popular models of imported cars, the situation has changed 180 degrees compared to last year when they had to wait for more than a year with a down payment. 

Some experts interpret the shortening of the waiting period for shipments as a shadow of a recession hanging over the automobile market. Kim Jin-woo, a researcher at Korea Investment & Securities, said, "The automobile market has reached a turning point in the second half of last year," adding, "The supply shortage and price rise that have appeared in the past two years are changing direction to a combination of increased supply and falling prices." Kim Pil-soo, a professor of the Department of Future Automobiles at Daelim University, said, "The automobile market may be sluggish due to the global economic downturn this year, but mass-producing car companies should also focus on it as demand for eco-friendly cars is steady."
